Has anyone started a private practice on this board? I know that different country and different states have their regulation, but if you could provide the general steps and usually where to look would be a good start. Thank you.

I have run a practice for years and it is good idea to talk to lots of folks to get info on bumps in the road to starting one and a realistic perspective. Good luck.

Rose, I wouldn't start one on the board as the board is view publicly. But we do have a section called "Questions" is intented for non therapist to ask questions and advice. It is up to the therapist and other users to offer such advice. I could imagine a client could post a question and you could offer them email consultation; but that's not up this forum to decide. If you are a certified therapist, you might want to list your service in your signature, to do that login to the forum and go http://www.alltherapytalk.com/forum/profile.php?mode=editprofile and scroll down to where it says signature, now everytime you post a message, that will attach to your message. It like a free way to advertise yourself and may services or website.

We are planning to have a Therapist List to let therapist to submit their services in the future and have mental health related articles submission service for researchers, students and professionals who like to post an article of their findings or opinions. I'm not familiar with online therapy as I'm not a therapist myself. I created this website for my spouse user "rchow", if you have an idea of how we could provide such service, I do have the technical knowledge on creating some sort of secured environment for one on one discussion.
